Other nuts to choose from are pecans, peanuts, and hazelnuts. Note that all nuts are high in calories, so limit to only eating a handful.

So it is recommended to eat 2 servings of fish a week. You can also take omega-3 or fish oil supplements, but by eating fish you get all the nutrients that lower cholesterol.

Olive Oil- contains a substance that lowers bad cholesterol and the good cholesterol is left untouched. Olive oil is good to cook with and to substitute it instead of using butter. So its recommended to add olive oil to your diet.

Eliminate or limit foods that contain saturated fat, trans fat, and foods that are rich in cholesterol. You may also need medication to help control cholesterol to keep the levels normal as well as maintaining a healthy diet and exercise. So by including these healthy foods in your diet, you can greatly lower your cholesterol and reduce the risks of having illnesses.
